Which Nutritional Therapy course is best?

Growing up I always wanted to be a writer, but didn’t really know what subject I wanted to specialise in. By day, I’m currently a fashion writer but it is in health and nutrition that I would like to progress.

While munch is currently a good platform for me to share my passion and knowledge of nutrition, I’m aware that some official training would be really beneficial for me to take my career in a new direction so I have been researching some remote learning courses.

There are an abundance of nutritional therapy courses out there so it is difficult to know which one is best for me.

Currently my favourite course is the Nutritional Medicine professional diploma at Plaskett International college; a remote learning course that can be completed over up to four years.

The course looks like it has a really strong science background which is obviously crucial to a solid understanding of nutrition, and on completion graduates are eligible to register with The Federation of Nutritional Therapy Practitioners (FNTP) and The Wholistic Society.

Other good courses I’ve seen include the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) training, the UK college of Nutrition and Health Nutritional Therapy course and Linda Lazarides Naturopathic Nutrition course.

Obviously this is a big commitment, both financially and time-wise, and I need something that I will be able to study for in my free time after working a 40-hour week!

Have any readers out there completed any of these courses, or are there any other nutritional therapy diplomas that you could recommend?

Any knowledge or experience you could share with me about this would be really valuable!

  1. Hi Chloe, I am also interested in the nutrition courses you listed. Have you enrolled in one yet? I would love to hear your views. Thanks. Carolyn
