REVIEW: Tasty Little Numbers 100 calorie chocolate bar

Do you find you get frequent chocolate cravings in that mid-afternoon energy slump but don’t want to succumb to a high calorie treat? I’ve discovered your perfect snack that allows you to get your sweet fix without the guilt afterwards. Introducing Tasty Little Numbers chocolate bars. At 100 calories a bar, these feel a little bit indulgent without the diet wrecking calories, so they’re ideal if you’re trying to lose weight.

The Tasty Little Numbers range has been developed by Jo Beach who wanted to be able to eat a little bit of what she fancied in portion controlled measures. Along with chocolate she has also produced a line of 100 calorie crisps, 200 calorie snack pots and 300 calorie ready meals so it takes the guessing games out of counting calories.

I tried the Tasty Little Numbers milk chocolate bar which is a wafer coated in tasty milk chocolate. As it is branded as low calorie I wasn’t sure I’d really enjoy it, as ‘diet’ foods are often a much inferior version of their higher calorie counterparts. However, it’s really tasty and just what I needed to curb the sugar cravings. They’re are quite small but I’d say that’s to be expected when you’re getting a 100 calorie chocolate bar!

Nutrition wise, the milk chocolate bars contain 5g of fat and 8.3 of sugar so they’re not entirely healthy per se, but a better option for anyone looking for a low calorie, portion controlled way to eat their favourite foods.

The Tasty Little Numbers range is sold in selected Sainsbury’s stores nationwide. For more information and to find you nearest stockist click here, or check out this post for five more healthy snack ideas.
