We all have evenings where we’re too busy or tired to cook, and ready meals are often the solution. But what if you want a quick meal that’s free from additives and chemical nasties? Well, I think I’ve found the solution. Kirsty’s ready meals are free from dairy, wheat and gluten plus contain natural ingredients – the ultimate guilt-free fast food.
Since appearing on Dragon’s Den back in 2010, Kirsty first launched her frozen desserts, and has since extended the range to ready meals that are stocked in selected supermarkets nationwide. The entrepeneur has put her own spin on family favourites including cottage pie and sausages & mash, that can be enjoyed by all.
I tried the Moroccan Vegetables with Quinoa meal. It’s not often (if ever) you see quinoa in a ready meal, and this ready meal did not disappoint. Packed with beans, sweet potatoes and juicy apricots in a spicy Moroccan sauce, it almost tasted home-cooked – not like many ready meals that often taste dry and bland.
With two of your five-a-day in the mix and only 276 calories per meal, I’d definitely recommend these meals to everyone, whether they suffer from food allergies or not.
